Yan is a high-level strategic consultant who knows how to provide judicious answers to issues with varied and complex ramifications. A rigorous manager, he is skilled in both public relations and government affairs. In particular, he gained invaluable experience working with a Prime Minister of Canada and a Premier of Québec.
Yan has held senior positions for over a decade, advising leaders and ministers on a wide variety of policies, programs and strategic communications. He has managed teams of over 40 employees with annual operating budgets of $3 million. Yan has served as Chief of Staff in the Departments of Transport, Infrastructure, Communities, Intergovernmental Affairs, and the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec. He was also chief strategist and senior advisor to a leader of Canada's Official Opposition. He also has unique experience leading the preparation of leaders' debates and enjoys a wide network of contacts throughout Canada and abroad.
He studied Political Science at Université Laval. He also gives conferences on public relations and the workings of government.
