Stéfanie Tougas

A lawyer by training, Stéfanie is passionate about public affairs and international relations. She is known for her thoroughness and agility, and her excellent grasp of her files. Her ability to solve complex problems by suggesting results-oriented solutions makes her an effective and pragmatic strategist.
Since the beginning of her career, she has held key positions in various levels of government in Quebec, France and the European Union. In particular, she has been responsible for files regarding government relations, international relations, social development and public security for the Mayor of Montreal and the Mayor of Laval.
Stéfanie first studied communication and politics at Université de Montréal before obtaining her law degree from Université Laval. Her academic career also took her to the prestigious École de Droit de Sciences Po in Paris, in the master’s degree program in international economic law.
Because Stéfanie holds her civic engagement dear, she is involved with institutions and organizations that are important to her, notably as a board member at the Université de Montréal and as Director and Vice-President of the Comité d’action politique France-Québec.
