With over 35 years of experience in the agriculture and agri-food industry as a consultant, economist, manager and senior executive, Jean Larose has been at the heart of all major agricultural events in Quebec in recent decades. His track record is testimony to his in-depth knowledge of every link in the agri-food chain, as well as his keen understanding of the issues and challenges they face. His rich knowledge, analytical capacity and strategic experience, particularly in crisis management, offer a valuable contribution to TACT’s clients, especially in a context of uncertainty.
Jean Larose served as General Manager of the Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) for more than 10 years. From 2011 to 2020, he also managed Éleveurs de porcs du Québec. Before that, he worked as a consultant for a recognized strategic consulting firm, where he accompanied major organizations in the development of business plans, organizational diagnostics and governance plans, among others.
Jean Larose is a graduate in agronomic sciences (agro-economics) from Université Laval. He has sat on many boards of directors, including those of La Financière agricole du Québec and Table filière agroalimentaire.
